The Early Researcher Awards program gives funding to new researchers working at publicly funded Ontario research institutions to build a research team. Our own Ebrahim Karimi was selected this year as one of 14 recipients at the University of Ottawa, an unprecedented number of awardees. “The number of recipients honoured this year speaks for itself,” said Sylvain Charbonneau, vice-president, research. “It shows the phenomenal talent of the rising generation of researchers who are making significant strides in their respective fields while in the early years of their academic career.” The CERC program is proud to count Prof. Karimi as one of its own.
